Our Outreach Mission

We want to spread awareness to the community about FIRST. We went to many places to spread awareness. We wanted to do this so other kids can have the chance to experience robotics and FIRST. We want them to have the opportunity to interact with different types of robots and have the same opportunity we had.

FLL Explore Mentoring
We  hosted multiple outreaches for kids we were currently participating in FLL Explore. Our slideshow consisted of "Why kids should join FIRST," "What they benefit from FIRST," and "About Us."  We then continued to explain the season and the goal that they should achieve. We also had time for a Q/A with them and clarified all doubts.  We got a lot of Positive feedback and continued to host more of these. The first we hosted was on November 29th, 2020. We hosted multiple more after this.QuadK1ng

Programming Workshop
On top of our FLL explore intro outreaches, we hosted a programming workshop. We taught basic Java and Python to kids who were interested. By the end of this workshop, kids learned the basics of Java and Python.  This took place on December 13, 2020 and December 20th.

FLL Guidance Session
We realized that it was hard when encountering a problem while working. To help people out, we hosted a workshop explaining the design process and how to encounter problems. We gave theoretical situations that kids could relate to. For example, if a toy remote controlled car broke, how would they fix this? We got a lot of positive feedback and look forward to hosting more. This event took place on February 21, 2020.
